PP Guesthouse with WiFi and Breakfast?

Posted by Voyagner on 30/9/2010 at 12:33

I've always stayed at Mekong Palace Hotel on the riverfront, rooms were $15/n and the place is clean, it's always been fine but I've decided $25/n is my budget if I can find a place that offers free WiFi and breakfast for two. California 2 seems to fit the bill but I'm not sure on the breakfast situation, is the price normally just for one person? Any other recommendations? ...

Cambodia Route

Posted by Catex1980 on 1/11/2010 at 04:47

Hi guys! I've looked and read until my eyes have gone fuzzy and still not clear on which route we'd like to take. W e plan to cross into Cambodia from Laos and to Stung Treng. All posts suggest that this is ideally done through a travel agent rather than independently. We are in Cambodia from 1st/2nd until 23rd Dec when we fly out of Phom Penh. We've got approx 3 weeks and would like to see Siem Reap and Angkor Wat (few days) and catch some much needed downtime on the coastline (maybe kep). ...

Cambodia Border Advice - Enough time?

Posted by richardhjan5 on 29/10/2010 at 08:10

Hi there I'd really appreciate any advice going on this one. We are crossing from VN into Cambodia at the Ha Tien border in Jan 2011. Our route is currently Phu Quoc - Flight to Rach Gia - Then overland to Kep Since booking, our flight time from PQ has changed from 9am to 1.30pm!! Arriving at Rach Gia at 2pm approx: does that give us time to get across the border before it closes?? I couldn't find times in the Border Crossings FAQ section. We have our 2 young children ( 6 & 8 ) with us s ...

Phnom Penh 6D5N, should I venture into Siem Reap?

Posted by DomesticG on 15/10/2010 at 12:00

Out of excitement from Jetstar's promotion, I managed to grab a ticket to PP for US$100! Unfortunately, what I missed out was some good planning before hand. 6D5N seems a bit too much for Phnom Penh. As usual, my itinerary would be the norms-must see. Day 1: Touch down at night, nothing much can be done Day 2: Tuol Sleng Genocide, Killing Fields, Russian Market, Royal Palace, etc Day 3: Khmer cooking class, Mekong River cruise From here, I have 2 choices, should I a) Stay in Phnom Penh. Go fo ...

Phnom Penh to Phu Quoc island

Posted by Lodestar on 8/9/2009 at 23:20

Basically that is it - looking for any tips, advice and info on how to get from PP to Phu Quoc in Vietnam. After researching crossing the Cambodia-Vietnam border, thought that instead of doing the direct PP-HCMC bus and from there Mekong Delta and Phu Quoc islad, it would be more interesting (though more time consuming i imagine?) to cross the border via Neak Luong and Chau Doc . So far, so good. But having trouble finding how to get from Chau Doc to Phu Quoc. Anyone done the trip recently? ...

Siem Reap to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport over land

Posted by sreid9 on 13/12/2008 at 16:42

Hi there. Does anyone know the most direct and efficient route from Siem Reap to the Suvarnabhumi airport by bus and/or taxi? I am currently in Siem Reap and have been given the following options from travel agents: 1. Bus from SR to Koh San Rd., then taxi or shuttle from there. 2. Get ripped off with arranged taxi rides on both sides of the border for $150-175. 3. Taxi to the Cambodia/Thai border, then taxi to the airport (or bus if I'm lucky). For option 3, there doesn't seem to be ...
