Dear sir / madam I am an Italian traveler who is planning a trip in the Southwest Asia. I would like to ask you if are there buses from Siem Reap to Strung Treng so that I can travel to Laos trough a trip in the Mekong river. Thanks to travelfish I found an interesting website http://www.mekongdiscoverytrail.com (I found out you email address there) where are promoted several itineraries. Hi, as part of my SE asia tour I am staying in Ta Phin village in sapa for a few days. I have arranged this independently with the people of the village. I am trying to find something similar in Cambodia. I don't want to be on an organised tour but would love to be able to arrange a short stay at a floating village or similar with a local family. Does anyone know if it's possible to do this please. So far the only plans I have are to land in Phnom Penh and head to Siem Reap so I;m quite fl ...

Angkor - What to expect

Posted by 5acrefarmer on 20/9/2010 at 19:41

Wondering if anyone would share their experiences of visiting Angkor Wat. I'm unsure how much time is enough, maybe 2 days is plenty. Also is it enough to aimlessly wander about or do some planning beforehand. Everyone would have different ideas so to hear some of those different approaches and why you were happy with them would be good. Also, I've seen on TV some serious crowds there and wondering if that happens in a small part of Angkior Wat and if certain parts of the day or week are bet ...

I'm planning a trip beginning November to end of December (2 months) to travel through the above countries. Can anyone recommend, the easiest and least expensive to get from one country to another? What what would be the best order? He was patient answering to all our constant queries and had very good knowledge of Cambodian history, culture and way of life. We have felt as we were a part of Siem Reap people for a few days. Advantage of having visa ahead

The question is that it is cheaper to get it at crossing points, about 10 euros cheaper, but if we save an hour by having it already we'll get the visa before. Thanks for you replies! ...
