Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia & Singapore

Posted by AniaKrysia on 11/9/2010 at 14:42

I'm planning a trip beginning November to end of December (2 months) to travel through the above countries. Can anyone recommend, the easiest and least expensive to get from one country to another? What what would be the best order? I originally thought to fly in to Cambodia, then travel to Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore and back to fly out, but Cambodia is more expensive to ...

We were in our Honey Moon in Siem Reap and someone made it to be more special as expected. We will be glad to highly recommend Sun Koung as a very friendly and enthusiastic Cambodian tour guide with excellent Spanish, French and English skills. He was patient answering to all our constant queries and had very good knowledge of Cambodian history, culture and way of life. We have felt as we were a part of Siem Reap people for a few days. We have enjoyed many unforgettable experiences and have ha ...

Advantage of having visa ahead

Hello, We'd like to know if having a visa in advance on a land crossing from Vietnam into Cambodia can save us alot of time at the border. The question is that it is cheaper to get it at crossing points, about 10 euros cheaper, but if we save an hour by having it already we'll get the visa before. Thanks for you replies! ...

In response to an unfair review of Virachey NP here on TF

Posted by gregmccann1 on 19/9/2010 at 20:07

I am writing this in response to a review someone wrote of Virachey National Park (VNP)outside of Ban Lung in Ratanakiri. Highlighting the overall negative tone of the description of the park were references to leeches (in a tropical rain forest during the rainy season??? No!!!) and a lack of animal sightings (they saw a bamboo rat and 2 birds). Ok, first off, I dare the author to name one single national park in Southeast Asia (SEA, not Africa) where visitors are likely to see any animals bes ...
