Posted by Kristinasia on 4/3/2010 at 01:49

We stayed 5 nights at Advisor Angkor Villa. Rooms were very cozy, arranged tours to visit Angkor Wat for reasonable price (10 USD per day including sunset at Phnom Bakheng or Pre Rup), well located (in the main city area), breakfast was free, but it’s great, free internet 24 hrs, and the best value, we got Wifi in our rooms. The people were nice and friendly. They got us from the airport. I would definitely go there again. Everyone need lowest price stay and Angkor tours in Siem Reap, please ...

Wat Thmey - Killing Fields Pagoda, Siem Reap

Posted by DuncanStuart on 9/2/2010 at 11:16

This is a large monastery half way out between the centre of town and Angkor Wat - and is notable for being at the centre of an area that served as the killing fields during the Pol Pot years. In fact some new hotels in the district have their foundations sunk into killing fields soil. Not a pretty thought. Wat Thmey features a live in monastery and new temple, as well as grounds in the middle of which is a large stupa, glass sided, with the skulls and bones diligently gathered by local res ...

I ahven't been there, but when TravelFish is updating its listings, then you need to check out this guest house. It is associated with the Ponheary Ly Foundation - which gives it an ethical plus! But quite apart from that, people have told me about the charm, the tranquility, the personal touches - the comfort and the value. ...

Sor Phoun Villa - Highway 6. Immaculately clean.

Posted by DuncanStuart on 9/2/2010 at 10:54

Thinking today how listings in directories (and now on iPhone apps) will favour those listers who have good English and are basically "wired" in terms of the internet. Sor Phoun Villa is on Highway 6, right near the markets, but set back from the road 9right hand side as you head out of town.) Super clean, comfortable, aircon, TV, internet down in reception, good service (next day laundry for example) and all rooms ...
