Posted by cpfisher5 on 12/9/2008 at 20:29

The owner (an Irishman) also is very knowledgeable about the area and can arrange excursions for you (or be your guide for some of them). Ch ...

If you are taking the speed boat to Chau Doc from PP...

Posted by mrdome on 4/5/2008 at 04:44

When I bought my ticket I was told the boat would arrive around 3 pm (it leaves PP @ noon). Ha! 5pm ish is more like it. You will then be landed at a restaurant that offers to sell you bus tickets (at a premium). What really peeved me was their claim that the bus will drop you at "your hotel". Sure they do... Rikitikitavi in Kampot

Posted by BrianandLinda on 28/2/2007 at 21:39

During our stay in Kampot we spent a couple of nights in Rikitikitavi in Kampot. Although they only have a few rooms, they are all lovingly decorated and besides the usual luxuries (a/c, TV, DVD, hot shower) they also had a brand new spring matress. We decided to have dinner there the first day and never went elsewhere: the food was tasty and the portions very large. The chef certainly seems to know what he was doing. And to my great surprise I even found my favorite malt whiskey between their m ...
