Posted by dancingroads on 26/2/2008 at 20:01

Large room (albeit a weird shape) 3 double beds, a/c, cable tv, fridge and good bathroom for US$18 triple per night. Singles/doubles $15 Friendly helpful staff. Laundry service and meals available. Posted by MrPete on 28/1/2007 at 11:33

"Battambang is screaming out for a little guest house" according to Travelfish and La Villa has answered the call. Housed in a restored colonial building, La Villa consists of 6 rooms and an wonderful bar/restaurant. The whole place has been done with 1950's/60's furniture and accents, from the ceiling fans to the wardrobes. The bar in the back is fantastically done and worth a visit, even if you don't stay there. The food was excellent as well. There is no website, but a copy of the brochur ...

Red Hibiscus - recommendation

Posted by TaniaJL on 27/11/2006 at 14:39

The Red Hibiscus on the riverfront in Phnom Pehn is a gorgeous place with great attention to detail. The rooms are fabulous (wooden 4 poster beds with silk hangings) and the service is attentive. Its not cheap but its great value for money. And the restaurant is fabulous. They have the best steaks ever (and I come from Sydney!). Argentian tenderloin fillet done just the way I like it(rare) and the crispiest chips this side of Paris (their chef is French). We tried lots of restaurants arou ...
