Has anyone triedSuggested itineraries Cambodia, Laos & Vietnam

Posted by John67 on 21/12/2009 at 18:53

I have a months leave to take and would like to see the three countires covered by this itinery. I plan to go in March April '10. I'd like to see Angor Wat, go trekking see the Karsts, tunnels wander around some colonial towns hit some beaches and just really relax (and socialise a bit..). At the moment there's just too much information and I'm getting bogged down. I'm also concerned about trying to do too much and losing out in the long run so if anyone has some advice feel free. Thanks John ...

Advice for two weeks in either Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam

Posted by ponarv on 31/12/2009 at 01:42

sorry, this was initially posted in the Laos section by accident... Hello, my wife and I have two weeks off and would like to travel in two of the following countries...Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia. I know each destination has different things to offer, but given our time constraints, I'm wondering which two would be the best. For example, I have heard it generally takes a longer time to get from point A to point B in Laos. We looking to combine some "on the go" sight seeing with a few days down tim ...

SE Asia in March or late April->May

Posted by George_S on 7/1/2010 at 19:05

Hi there, I will be travelling to SE Asia some time between March and June but would like some advice about the weather. The original plan was to spend five weeks in the region from March 3rd onwards before moving on to Australia and NZ. However, I'm beginning to think (if it's possible with flights) to switch our itinerary around a bit to accommodate better weather in both regions - spending March - April in NZ Australia and May in SE Asia. Considering how hot and dusty it can get in ...

Our first trip to Indochina! Help with plans?

Posted by fifchuck on 20/12/2009 at 23:18

My wife and I have our flights booked to Saigon on Jan 16 until February 2. Problem is, we don't have much else planned because everything looks so great we're having a terribly hard time prioritizing our wants for this trip. Originally, we were naively hoping to see Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand but we're realizing that with 16 days, we just don't have that time. We don't want to be flying every other day. So, can anyone help with suggestions that we definitely shouldn't mis ...

Hello everyone! Caveat Emptor: This is a long one. But: Endure, and in enduring grow strong! To begin, let us get acquainted. Allow me to allow you to peer into our queer and slightly deranged modus operandi ... My girlfriend and I (24 and 21) will be arriving at Hanoi on the 23rd of December at 1am! She's teacher (almost) and I'm either a lawyer, computer geek, or some kind of writer (haven't decided yet). A sense of adventure, Anthony Bourdain, muay thai, and some weird ...

Dokmai Garden - Secret Garden Getaway in Chiang Mai

Posted by MissBonavita on 13/12/2009 at 15:43

Dokmai Garden is the perfect escape for the discerning tourist who wishes to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown Chiang Mai. It is just 25 minute drive from Central Chiang Mai, and yet it feels like you are a world away! The garden itself would be perfect for the avid gardener, or the curious new comer looking for some information on local flora. There are over 800 species of plants, 500 of which are signposted with information and names in Thai, English and Japanese. The staff speak Eng ...

Hanoi to Siem Reap in 15 days?

Posted by smash on 8/12/2009 at 05:40

Hi all We've had to change our plans around so now go from a 'relaxed' trip to having 15 nights between arriving in Hanoi at 4:00 PM on the 21st of March to departing Siem Reap on the 5th of April at 5:00 PM. We're locked into these flights so really just trying to figure out the best way to spend this time. Originally I thought we might do 10 nights in Hanoi/Halong/Sapa and then fly to Siem Reap and have five nights to do the Angkor area. This means that even though the trip is shor ...

Hi All, I've browsing the web and reading for days now and I am realizing two things: 1) I am confused and 2) I understood to not pack too much into an itinerary, less is more.
