Married young couple six months in SE Asia, weather chasing..

Posted by PaulandLauren on 18/1/2014 at 13:47

Hey We are planning an exciting adventure, selling all our belongings and getting onto a one way flight to Bangkok 1st of July. We are aware monsoon season is just around the corner and would like to spend a few weeks having a beach honeymoon before the real backpacking begins. The question is... where? The weather is pretty decent around SE Thailand throughout July, but were getting stuck on the itinerary from there. We have a budget of around 10k for 4 months onwards and would like to visit ...

Help needed

Posted by r_achel4 on 15/1/2014 at 16:33

Hi, I want to travel around Asia between July and December - I've done some research but I'm more unsure now than I was before! I literally do not know where to start! I have some questions, so any input would be greatly appreciated; I've read that as a ginger haired girl, China may present some problems with harassment/people taking photos/staring etc. Has anyone had any experience of this? I've read some travel blogs which say you don't need to book accommodation and to find somewhere to stay ...

Hi everyone, My girlfriend and I are planning on travelling around SEA mid to late 2014 without a set date yet but first we will be riding the Trans-Siberian from Moscow to Beijing taking 19 days total. Once in Beijing we are unsure whether its worth travelling down through China to Vietnam or spending maybe a week to see The Great Wall, Tiananmen Square etc before taking a Flight to Hanoi. As China is so huge and involves a lot of extra planning recently I have been put off with the idea of tr ...

10-12 month SEA trip. Budget question.

Posted by Arikara1985 on 10/1/2014 at 21:27

I spent 5 weeks this summer in Thailand and Cambodia. I am now planning my trip back. Intend to leave around the middle of August. Plan is Philippines > Vietnam > Laos > Myanmar > Malaysia > Thailand. Might include Indonesia and Singapore but not sure. Intend to go at a fairly slow place, month in Philippines for example, 4 places for a week each. Even willing to stay in some places longer. Does $20,000cdn seem reasonable for that for at least 10 months? I'm going to stay in hos ...

Last two trips were Thailand and we are moving on now to a tripcovering Cambodia, Vietnam and maybe Laos. The last trip to Thailand we took we researched alot on TA and posted a lot! 5 weeks of travel that includes the Philippines - please help me plan an itinerary!

Posted by cguzzy on 17/12/2013 at 12:48

Hi there! I will finally have the chance to travel to Asia in 2014 for about 4-6 weeks and I'm really excited! I've been looking up different travel itineraries that span over 5 weeks for inspiration, but it's difficult to find one that includes the Philippines. I suppose my circumstances are a little different, I shall explain: I am Filipino but born in Canada, so I've only been once when I was young, with my parents. Next March, a family member will be turning 90 and some of my family member ...

Looking for honeymoon beach!

Posted by Jcohen05 on 25/9/2013 at 19:00

My husband and I are heading to Southeast Asia for our honeymoon in Nov/Dec. We would like to spend a couple weeks on the beach and are trying to decide which beach/island region would be the best for us. We would like to get off the beaten path and away from the crowds, but it is our honeymoon, so we'd like to have nicer accommodations for at least a week. We like to snorkel, hike, surf, climb and love food. We have heard Thailand is nice but touristy. Has anyone been to the beaches/islands ...

Hey Everyone, My name is Seven Ten and I am currentlyin Hong Kong. I love this place, but it's time for me to move on to S.E. Asia! I'm debating whether to fly to Thailandor Vietnam first... On 11/18, Monday, the plane ticket to Hanoi , Vietnam via Kayak is ~250. I chose Hanoi because I want tostart from the North and make my way down South. On the same date, flying into Bangkokwould be much cheaper, ~150. Normally I would go with the cheaperalternative, but I'm thinking that it will be eas ...

i'm spending just over two months in SEA ( whizzing through Laos and Cambodia, and trying to get a good feel for Vietnam and Thailand), and want to know what routes I should go by train/bus/plane/boat. Money isn't tight, but I also want to train when it adds to the experience(scenery and such). My time is a little more precious, but not strict. I'm also a solo female traveler, so any suggestions based on safety are appreciated. And if you have advice on this routes based on visa requirements i' ...
