I think maybe to go somewhere that has an interesting festival happening at the same time would be nice - but any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks ...

Family with kids in hotels

Posted by Blimes on 9/7/2011 at 14:23

I will be traveling to SE Asia (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam) with my wife and three children (ages 14, 11, and 9) next year, and I have a question about hotels. Will I have trouble putting 5 people in a room? Will I need to get 2 rooms? Or do only adults count, and so I should look for double rooms and then get cots or something? We will be spending time in both big cities and small villages. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. ...

Hey, my name is Emily, 34 years old. I am arriving in Bangkok on 5th Oct, where I plan on spending a few days. I then want to go to Kanchanaburi, it looks amazing, I want to do a trip with Mellow Trek, amazing reports on Trip Advisor, but I either do it on my own or find a few other people that would like to give it a go, as they will only take one group at a time, and don't mix. Have a look at there website, I want to do the 3 day 2 night. If anyone else fancies please let me know, or if you fa ...

There are places I have been before and therefore only want a short stay so as to maximise the length of time we have in other places. (KL, HK, Singapore, Bangkok) We are flying to Bangkok, so will be starting our travels from there, and o ...

Hey I am heading back to Se Asia in a few weeks and am planning on spending a couple of weeks in Malaysian Borneo. I would like some advice on the footwear to take for rainforest trecking and possibly Kinabalu. I have survived trecking around Thailand in a set of pretty sturdy trainers in the past, but think somthing more substantial may be in order for Borneo. Obviously due to the size of my pack i don't want to take walking boots, but would a set of running trainers or trail shoes do the jo ...

I'll spend time in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia and Burma (probably not in that order). I have tons of questions, but my first is about weather. From what I can figure out, April is the hottest month in the region. Does anyone have any advice on where to spend April and not be miserably hot? Thanks! ...

Hi all, Sorry for yet another 'where should I go' question, but I have been reviewing itineraries and there is so much to see. I have a little under a month, and this will be my first trip to the area (have only been to China within Asia, for 3.5 weeks). I would like to go to Thailand and Vietnam, and possibly stop in Cambodia/Laos if time permits. I was hoping to do a 'sample' of the countries, so on subsequent trips I can choose which I would like to explore more. I am 25 y/o male from Los A ...
