Posted by gabyanz on 8/2/2015 at 16:02

Hello to All... Here I've read a lot of very interesting suggestions... so I'm here to ask for some help--- In July I and my family (my husband and 8 years old daughter) will stay 17 days in Indonesia, starting from Jakarta. Our aim is SEA and snorkeling in a pristine environment... last year we've been in Malesia (Perethian, Redang... and was really wonderful). We do not dive, but we are quite experienced swimmers. My first idea was to go first to Lombok and then to Bali -Komodo... But the ...

Using for booking flights in Indonesia

Posted by busylizzy on 28/1/2015 at 19:13

I wanted to book a flight with Wings Air (via the Lion Air website) before my arrival in Indo, due to a tight timeframe. After several unsuccessful attempts, a quick bit of Google research told me that many people have problems with this website accepting their overseas credit cards. I thought that I had booked online with them before, but maybe not...? I decided to try, the Indonesia flight search/booking site and managed to book the required flights (Bali->Sumbawa, with a shor ...

Right now the plan is: Jakarta (2 nights) -- Yogyakarta (2 nights) -- Lombok (5 nights) -- Gili A ...

Wae Rebo 2015

Posted by ibalance48 on 7/3/2015 at 04:44

Our trip started in Labuanbajo where we were met by our driver/guide, Hironimus (081237084084). He was a class act throughout the trip and even called to make sure we made it home safely after flight was delayed. It took around 5 hours to drive to Dintor, but we made a number of stops for pictures, buying fruit and having lunch. At Dintor we stayed at Wae Rebo Lodge, which is surrounded by rice fields with glorious views of the coast and mountains. Our host was Martinos (081237121903 or 085239 ...

Motorbike Touring in Bali

Posted by jmail1 on 17/2/2015 at 15:11

We're making our 12th trip to Bali in March and have explored Southern Bali and most of Ubud exhaustively. I've done the drive up to Lovina a couple of times, and we've done the Bratan/Batur route a few times. For those that enjoy being on a bike can you tell me your favorite routes to take? We'll be based out of Ubud and hope to rent a Tiger, if not then a Bison or similar. Most likely we'll get up around 6am and ride for 5-6 hours then come back and relax. If there is a must-do route ...

Nano sim card for iPad Air in Bali

Posted by jmail1 on 17/2/2015 at 15:00

Heading to Bali in March and want to be able to use my iPad Air on the fastest possible network for about a week. simPATI is what I've continually read about, but everyone talks about it for an iPhone. The procedure for activating it requires a series of texting steps that can't be performed in an iPad. Does anyone have a recommendation of a shop that will let me purchase and then activate for me on one of their phones? The plan I've been reading about costs about 300,000rp for about 3GB of dat ...

1 month in Indo - enough for Bali/Lombok/Gilis?

Posted by cpicking92 on 31/1/2015 at 09:13

Hi guys After doing a month in Vietnam and a month in Cambodia I will be heading to Indo. I'm planning on flying from Siem Reap to Denpasar, is this the most economic way of travelling this route both time and cost wise? We are keeping our fingers crossed that funds last long enough for us to extend our visa in order to get an extra 2 or 3 weeks but at the moment the minimum we can guarantee ourselves is a month. Based on this which areas of Bali and Lombok would people recommend (I think we ...

Looking to share 4WD from Cemoro Lawang to Malang in Feb 2015

Posted by aniljustus on 4/2/2015 at 09:36

Hi, We're 2 Singaporean mid-30's travellers visiting Mount Bromo in Feb 2015. We're looking to save cost by sharing a 4WD with another 2 like-minded travellers from Cemoro Lawang to Malang on 21st Feb 2015 morning. The trip is through the Savannah / Ngadas route, so we can break our journey by making photo stops at interesting places (e.g. Tenggerese village at Ngadas and the Savannah) - we are still in the midst of researching on 4WD hire rates. If anyone's keen, please ping me. Cheers, Anil ...

Getting from Banda Aceh to Ketambe

Posted by PhoBoy on 26/1/2015 at 05:39

Hello! My girlfriend and I are planning to travel around Indonesia for about 3 weeks in February. We will fly into Banda Aceh and head straight to Pulau Weh for a few days. After Pulau Weh we are hoping to head to Ketambe as it seems like it will offer a more authentic jungle trekking experience than Bukit Lawang. One concern I do have is I have not been able to find any definitive information on travel from Banda Aceh to Ketambe. From what I have gathered there are no longer flights to ...

What we like: - Luxury & relaxing (hey, it's our honeymoon!) ...
