Hey, I'll be traveling for two months a little bit in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. How much money, Dollars, do you suppose i should be bringing in cash other than a credit card which i prefer not using ATMs so much, and i hope to spend an average amount of money all together. Did any of you have experience with copying your credit card info during a purchase transaction- would love to get some safety tips. Thanks ...

Luang Prabang to Vientiane- The truth about Vang Vieng

Posted by misstahlia on 7/6/2013 at 09:59

Hi all I will be visiting Laos in August, coming overland from Chiang Rai. I will have approx 11 nights as I have a flight out of Vientiane. So want to use my time wisely as this is my last stop before heading to KL to home (Australia). So thinking Luang Prabang seems to be where I want to spend the most time in. I am thinking 4 nights. I do want an honest opinion on the trek over the border from Thailand. Will I need to make a pit stop for the night, or is it a straight journey from Thai b ...

First time posting - many thanks to everyone who replies in these forums - been so so helpful. My wife and I are planning a trip to Laos in November. After lots of reading on travelfish and some other sites we are thinking of starting with the slow boat from Huay Xai to LPB. Then spending several days in LPB with time for a side trip to Nong Khiaw & Muang Ngoi. We've got about 16 days total - including travel time from the states. FYI we're more into relaxation & beauty. Not really l ...

Hello! My boyfriend and I are planning on doing the Gibbon Experience in Laos. We have been researching and all the information we have come across has been anywhere from 2005 to last year, and we would like to know some updated information from anyone who has done it very recently (the last 6 months or even more recent). We've come across a lot of mixed reviews regarding the safety and quality of the experience. From the reviews we have read it seems as though its not as good as it once was? ...

Luang Prabang and Jomas to relocate

Posted by wayan_bob on 29/4/2013 at 11:00

Sounds like a win win situation all round, because Joma's need to expand and cannot in their current location. ...
