Posted by SteinOfOrange on 26/4/2007 at 17:23

Ok. This place was advised to me by an older french woman (expat) who says it is the best. PENINSULA Sauna & Massage Centre. And, it was indeed perfect. I had had a couple of persons tell me of other places who said key things like "it was ok", "it was awful", and "not worth the time". The massge was relaxing, soft, different, and just plain pleasent. Only hard to find if you do not try. Located next to the Xieng Tong temple. It's front door looks right out onto the Mekong River. It provides motivated people the resources and tools they need to study and help themselves from books that have been donated. Most of the users utilize the facility to learn English from books that are not available in Laos. For more details check out the web-site ...

Nalinthone Guest House, Great Place in Vientiane

Posted by comanchero on 2/3/2007 at 04:44

We stayed at the Nalinthone Guest House in Vientiane in Jan. 2007. It is on Fa Ngum Road on the west side of town, about 600 meters past where the road pavement ends. Go past the Mekong River Comission Building about 3 "Blocks". This is the nicest place I have ever stayed in my life! It's an old colonial villa, facing the Mekong, newly remodeled, shiney and spotless. Beautiful balcony for watching the sunrises and sunsets on the river. The river flows east-west, so you can enjoy both. A dou ...

Posted by neilenolix on 2/1/2007 at 11:38

My name is Neil. One of the proprietors at Pan's Place Guesthouse which used to be called Vieng Chaleun Guesthouse. I have contacted you before about updating the listing on your site. You did make a small change of saying the guesthouse has changed its name but the information about the guesthouse still refers to Viang Chaleun ..and is not relevant as we have made a lot of changes to the place. Andrew, from lonely planet came and visited us about 2 months ago so I was expecting this site to hav ...

Saysamone Guesthouse in Luang Prabang pretty crap

Posted by karelv on 10/1/2007 at 02:51

Rather give this one a miss. Staff poor, unfriendly and English not very good. Room with own bathroom cheap but not value for money. Room not very clean, enough space. Bed good but bedding, pillows and towels questionable.Quiet area but the room we had served as an amplifier to any sound in the house, e.g. when a toilet is flushed, a door closed or someone is going up the stairs it’s really loud in the room which eliminates the positive of the quiet area completely. Bathroom clean, flush weste ...

I found out about the Nam Sok Guest House ON travelfish, but now I can't find it to place my review. I also can't find Coleurs Restaurant, Le Tam Tam, Joma etc to leave reviews for them. Am I imagining things ? Did the beer Lao go to my head ? I also had about 10 massages in LP so have reviews of the best ones if you are interested. ...

New additions FAQ This thread is to allow users to add guesthouses, hotels, restaurants and bars and so on which are not currently listed within the Laos section of Travelfish. There are five easy-to-follow rules: 1) If a place has already been added to the messageboard, please do not add it again. Likewise if you're already listed on Travelish, don't ...
