Earlier this year we stayed at Seng Ahloune on Don Khone and loved it, having found it through Travelfish. We are now planning a further trip back to Laos early next year to see the things we missed but do want to veg out again in 4,000 Islands. However, there doesn't seem to be any detail about it on either this website or Trip Advisor - is there a reason for this? ...

Hot new ticket for Savannakhet, great info and Lao and western food plus incredible info at this new restaurant Savanxokxia. Na Hin and Kong Lor - the whole place

A lot has happened in a short time in Na Hin - the town now boasts a lot more (and much better) sleeping options than last time Travelfish visited. There's even an expat-run bar and some standalone restaraunts worthy of the name. Most of them are new buildings on the main street but the worth-the-difficulty-of-finding Sainamhai resort with its river views and 100,000kip a night luxury bungalows is worth a trip too. Ban Kong Lor has some places to sleep which probably warrant reviewing too ...

I am traveling to China for a job that starts at the end of Feb in south-west China. Budget minded, I would like to travel in this area for a week. I will travel from Chiang Mai and am thinking to start out in Lung Pabang and travel down to Vientaine. I understand that I can get the Visa for Vietnam in Lung Pabang. Hi can anyone tell me if this itenary sounds sensible or too rushed?. we have 3 weeks holiday this feb spending 2 nights in bkk on the 3rd we will take night train to CM spending 3-4 days there get to the border and take either the slow boat to luang prabang or 1 day cruise boat i have read about. having 4-5 days in luang prabang then bk to bkk and finishing off on the beach possibly koh chang for 4-5 days. I dont mind a bit of traveling as to see different places this is a must. Im just unsure ...

In late Nov 2010, I stayed 2 nights at a wonderful little guesthouse near the Luang Prabang P.O., the Souksavath GH - Houaxieng Village N; 16/01, phone (856-71) 212043 This place is tiny with 5 rooms, but very comfy and friendly as well as clean. I paid $12. for my wood paneled room with ensuite bath. A great 2nd floor balcony with hanging orchids was right in front. Hi Travelfish, we are a new hotel in Vang Vieng, Laos, and would be interested in getting listed. We are in the $35..$55 price range, not cheap but woth it (at least we believe so ). Hello travellers, I've been a guest in the Nong Khiaw Riverside in Nong Khiaw at the end of January (24/25 of january). The place is nice but they are very uncorrect. I've still got their mail in which they priced me the bungalow 30 USD. On our arrival there they said "no, it's 38 USD, i've told you 30 euros". But that is not true they said 30 USD. They have done the same uncorrect thing whith a couple of franch and another couple of italian during my stay. They have made "the business" w ...
