I will be in Hanoi from the 25 November till the beginning of December.
I have a Minsk motorbike for sale.
I bought it from Kevin on this forum for 550USD. It is in great condition and has not broken down even once.
It will come with two helmets and luggage straps.
If you're interested please contact me on my Vietnamese mobile number: +84 908 377 301

We have 2 Minsk 125cc Motorbikes for sale in Hanoi from the 20th of November.
We rode them from Saigon to Hanoi (We're in Hai Phong at the moment).
They're both in good condition, one is a little customized. It's been given a bit of a chopper look with a new army green paintjob, a spring seat, saddlebags, and an old Russian rocket launcher for the exhaust!
The other one is basically standard, red colour and with the word Minsk (in Russian letters, looks kinda like "MNchk") on the side. ...
I will be in Kanchanaburi for 2 or 3 days in late January. I definitely want to visit Hellfire Pass. Does anyone have any advice/recommondations regarding renting a motorcycle and riding it to Hellfire Pass. Thanks
I will be arriving into Hanoi in 3 weeks time and really want to spend a few days riding a bike between Sapa - Ha Giang province and Dong Van (if possible!)
1) I'm on my own and have little experiance of riding bikes, with the exception of having (what I believe to be though I cant be sure...) a scooter for a month in Thailand 4 years ago. What are my chances?!
2) I understand the laws are now changing on riding bikes in Vietnam. Any certainties?
3) License, insuran ...
I'm travelling with my boyfriend in January next year for 4 weeks in Vietnam. We are travelling from Hanoi down to HCMC and then continuing on from there.
We know that to reach Nha Trang from Hoi An we have to travel back to Da Nang (which we would like to avoid).
Riding sounds like a fun alternative to flying so we were thinking of riding from Hai An to Nha Trang but we have the following questions:
1. How do we rent the bike in Hoi An and then return it without riding it ...
After 4 months of usage, I'm selling my baby.
I have been traveling since HCMC to Hanoi with her. I'm asking US$375. The bike is in really good conditions (has been inspected by the Minsk shop in Hanoi), comes with:
Spare parts, tools box, 2 Racks for the bags (on the bike), 1 Helmet and the repair manual of this model.
The bike is making more than 25 km a liter. You can run up to 85 km/hr. The tires are in very good condition. Basically, you have everything you need to hit the road imm ...
My mate and I are doing a Top Gear style motorbike/scooter trip from Saigon to Hanoi .
We will be arriving in Saigon on the 19th of November and leaving Hanoi on the 7th of December.
Just noticing from looking around various travel blogs and websites, I have noticed that there are a lot of people who want to buy bikes in Saigon and sell it in Hanoi later, or vise-versa.
If anyone is leaving Saigon around the 19th of November who is willing to sale their bike? I will gl ...
If anyone is selling a Minsk motorbike (possibly two) in reasonably good condition please let me know urgently!
Alternatively if anyone has any information on where I can buy one for a good price then please contact me:
Many thanks ...
Hi I'm currently in Chiang Rai and want to do the Chiang Rai loop. I have rented a Honda motorbike from my guesthouse (Chart Guesthouse) and have a question about the rental contract. I have bought insurance that means I will only be liable to pay 3000 baht in case of an accident.
The contract does say that I am liable for 20,000 Baht if the bike is stolen. I thought this would be included in the insurance as it is outside my control. Is this standard practice? Can anyone please provide ...
I've got a pretty good description, image and dimensions of some motorbike boots I would like to get.
I was hoping that someone might be able to recommend somewhere in Viet/Thai/Cam where I would be able to get some decent quality leather ones made.
These would be for riding, not just for looks and so would need to be very durable.
Thanks in advance,
FYI for those living here, you can get some nice custom made bikes here for very good prices. I have a number of friends who have done this and are very satisfied. Just make sure the guy who's making the bike for you is reputable and you are using only legit components (no chop stuff). ...
We have just over a week in Laos at the start of November and were wondering whether renting mopeds is plausible to travel independently between Vientiane and Luang Prabang, spending a night in Vang Vieng and maybe somewhere else en route. Neither of us are overly experienced on mopeds other than casual holiday use - though both are experienced car drivers and sensible road users. Would be grateful for any advice on whether this is a realistic idea or not! Any recommendations on what to se ...
I've a eight week trip coming up covering Cambodia and Vietnam and have been reading the motorbiking Q&A with interest.
My main dilemma is should I do a few short tours or just buy a bike and go for it?
It seems both Cambodia and Vietnam have a lot of operators, with probably Offroad Vietnam and Dancing Roads being the most interesting, but I was wondering what kind of extra value you get out of a tour? Is having a guide especially important? I guess in Cambodia a lot is dirt biking ...
I've just added a new section within the Travelfish forum covering motorcycing in Asia. We're seeing more questions on this topic and I thought it deserved it's own section.

i am planning to rent a motorbike (or scooter) for 7-14 days and going to trek thailand, i was wondering if anybody ever done this before and if anybody knows a good route...? i was thinking north of thailand, around chang mai? but other suggestions are gladly apreciated!
i was also wondering if it was possible to return my bike at an other place, and if it will be a big hassle when i dont have a license (got experience though).

I am travelling first in Northern Laos with some friends next month and we plan to make our way down to the southern end of the country from Vientiane over about a week before heading to Thailand.
We would be really keen to rent in Vientiane and ride motorbikes for this leg of the trip but of course we do not have time to then turn around and ride them back to where we rented them from.
I have read about a place named Jules Classic Rentals (http://www.bike-rental-laos.com/aboutus.htm) in V ...
