Me and my friends are flying to Boracay in July and was wondering what we could do during the night. We've got tons of plans during the day like Parasailing, Helmet Diving, Kite Surfing, Visit Puka Beach and Ariels Point but we still don't have any plans for the night. Any of you guys have any suggestions? We'll be staying in Boracay for a week.
Your suggestions would be really appreciated. ...
I plan to travel to Boracay in August, from 19 to 27, but it seems the weather is mostly rainy... is it true?
Is there any other similar destination nearby?
Any advice is very much appreciated...
Thanks, Laura ...
Hi. We are arriving at Manila on the 19th of September for 16 days. We read that in terms of weather, the best area is the central visayas, so we plan to visit at least Bohol, Negros and Boracay. Our question is whether we should try to visit El-Nido as well. Is there something in El-nido that we will not find in the other locations? Is it worth it (the long trip from one side of the Philippines to the other?). Anyway, we will be happy for any recommendations for the Visayas area.
Thanks a lo ...
Going to Phils middle of next month for about 3 weeks. Was kinda undecided if i would be in Phils or spend half time visiting Hanoi either first half or second of my time. Anyways, looking through various forums, i get the impression not many want to or advise people to hang around manila for any length of time - in some cases used as a jump off point to Cebu or other islands. Is manila that boring or unappealing?. Im not into beaches not adventuring, although i dont mind light trekki ...
We are planning a trip to Siargao (philippines) end of september and october this year.
According to many surf forums and travel blogs, october should be a very good period to travel to Siargao (especially for surfing). Just what just worries me a bit is the fact that october should be the most risky period of the typhoon season in philippines.
Does anyone have experience with travelling in october to Philippines and Siargao in particulary?
- Is Siargao itself a risky area for typhoons ...
A friend and I will be travelling around South East Asia early next year. We have researched and planned the majority of our trip but we are having problems finding the best/most convenient route around Philippines. We are planning on flying from Bali to the Philippines. We want to see Palawan, Boracay and Manila in a couple of weeks. Where is best to fly into? In which order is it best to travel between the three?
We have heard different things about travelling around the Philippines s ...
I know that this is pretty open ended, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Each Spring my husband and I take a big trip and next year we're debating between visiting the Philippines for the first time or returning to Vietnam, which we absolutely loved two years ago. There's still much to uncover in Vietnam: Sapa, Central Highlands, MeKong Delta, etc. But, we might love the Philippines even more.
On our trips we of course love gorgeous beaches, but more than that, we love to get to know a ...
I fly into Manila in a couple weeks. I have a couple questions:
1. What currencies are accepted at immigration for visas? Should I get a bunch of Pesos before I arrive? Or will I need USD or other foreign currencies?
2. Is it easy to get from Manila to islands / beaches and travel around for a backpacker? Let's say, in comparison to Thailand. Where getting from A-B couldn't be easier.
3. Shall I book hostels for islands/beach resorts in advanced, or shall I just turn up and fin ...

Please give us a hand by giving us their name, location, website and email address or you can also list this ngo directly in our register org form: https://www.globedrop.org/organizations/new/
Some people got the good idea to convert a bus into a traveling hostel.
