Posted by katisita on 4/11/2010 at 02:20

Hello! I am going to Palawan this December and want to do something amazing that is close to Palawan or the Philippines for New Years Eve. We are traveling in a small group of international students, all in our 20's. Please write back about which places would be good for New Years Eve. I am thinking either Boracay or Bohol? Also has anyone been to Bohol? Are the Chocolate Hills worth the trip? Or if we should just stay in Palawan for New Years Eve? Also if anyone has information about the best ...

3 - 4 weeks in Phillipines

Posted by nickolt on 15/11/2010 at 11:55

Hello everyone. My bf and I are beginning our trip of SE Asia/China in the Phillipines. We land in Manila on January 8th at 12:55 am. Do you guys have an advice on how safe it will be taking a taxi to a hotel/guesthouse/hostel at this time at night?? Also, any advice on which guesthouse might provide airport pickup at that time, or is easier to get to. The places we are interested in seeing are Manila for a few days (3 at the most I think), the Cordillera region, Palawan, and possibly Bohol or ...

My friend wants me to visit her in Cagayan de Oro city. But I'm a little bit concerned because people says southern parts of Philippines are not that safe for tourists. I would like to know if someone here knows the area - specifically Cagayan de Oro City and surroundings - and has any suggestions/information about this. If it safe, what areas do worth checking around that city? thanks ...

Ati Atihan and Sinulog 2014

Posted by Harry05 on 18/9/2013 at 09:53

On my trip to the Phillipines (2014) I would like to visit the Ati Atihan (Kalibo) and Sinulog festival (Cebu City) but the highlights of both festivals seem to be in the same weekend, although I found some different information about the dates of the Ati Atihan. For the Ati Atihan I found 10-19 january but also 20-26 january (and starting the 3rd monday in january). The Sinulog weekend seems to be on january 18 and 19. About this a few questions: 1. Can someone tell the exact days of both fes ...

3 Weeks in the Philippines - Itinerary Advice

Posted by StephJayne165 on 10/9/2013 at 05:06

Hey Guys, I'm hoping someone will be able to have a look over this itinerary and give some advice on a couple of questions I have. For some background information; I'm meeting my parents in the Philippines after a year of being away from home (I'm in Aus at the moment, from the UK). I spent 8 months in Asia before coming here so consider myself quite a seasoned traveller/backpacker, my parents however, are not, so we'll need some level of comfort while travelling, airconed busses at a minimum, ...

NAIA Terminal 3-No more shuttle bus to MRT

Posted by goonistik on 10/5/2013 at 09:18

I had a horrid time trying to get out of Terminal 3. I was surprised to find out that the useful and affordable shuttle bus to the MRT/LRT station was no longer available. The only shuttle that is available is the citylink bus that goes to Libis, which is fine if you are headed north to Quezon City. But the trip schedule is 1 PM, 3 pm and 5pm. Getting out using public transportation means talking a long walk to the rotonda near the entrance and looking for buses/jeepneys to Baclaran. The lin ...

3 weeks in Philippines May/June

Posted by StephJayne165 on 23/4/2013 at 02:32

Hey guys, I'm trying to research a trip to the Philippines but am struggling with less than perfect wifi connections! Was hoping there's a couple people out there who have been to the Philippines and can give me a starting point with regards to destinations, any must sees etc. It will be my last stop after 8 months in SEA before heading over to oz, so I'm after a pretty chilled itinerary with maybe a week relaxing on the beach in the end. But also want to do some sightseeing/trekking and mayb ...

Does anybody have any tips for Caramoan? I made a mistake and booked on Cebu Pac. I found out later that he PAL Express flight would have been better as it has an earlier schedule. So my flight arrives at 10:25 AM. Making it to Sabang Port to take the 1:00 PM boat looks a bit dicey. So should I just spend a day in Naga? Thanks ...

5 days in The Phillipines?

Hi there, I will be visa running to the Philipines in Mar. for 5 days and have no idea what to do when I arrive. Do any of you denizens recommend any places located within about a 150 km radius of Clark International Airport? My budget is extremely modest, so locations with budget accommodation is preferable; places without hordes of backpackers would also be a bonus. Many thanks! MB ...

Cheapest flights to Phillipines

Posted by mic59 on 30/1/2013 at 06:38

I have booked myself a 77-day holiday in Thailand which I am thinking of breaking with a 3-week stay in the Phillipines. I have had a look at a cheap flights website and found I can get a return from Bangkok to Manila for AU$468. Does anyone know if there would be a cheaper way? This seems pretty good to me but if I could get a better price it would be appreciated. Also, I've never been to the Phillipines. Apart from the local food, always a very important part of any holiday I take, is there an ...
