Electronics Cheaper in Singapore?

Posted by Lost_Vagabond on 23/2/2013 at 06:20

I'm heading to Singapore for the first leg of a S.E.A tour in a month. I'm going to purchase a Sony NEX-6 camera for the trip as my current DSLR will be a bit too bulky. I've been told I might as well buy the camera I want out there in Singapore instead of London. I've found a decent price for the camera online and was going to get it until i was recently told to just get it in Singapore as It will most likely cheaper be cheaper and I can claim tax back when I leave Singapore. Thanks for any ad ...

Buying an unlocked quad band smartphone

Posted by rondo0709 on 15/2/2013 at 11:32

Buying Quad band unlocked phones I am spending 2 months in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Having a "local phone" would be good to make some local calls or to have as an emergency phone to call the States in case of death, or serious illness. I am from the US and want to buy an ....unlocked smartphone. Would it be better to buy that in Singapore, or should I buy that in the US? Some people have told me that buying the phone would be a lot cheaper in Singapore, is that true? And w ...

Hi, I'm headed to Singapore for the third time in July and was looking for advice for where to stay to get a slightly different experience from that I've had in Singapore before. Both of my previous Singapore trips have been heavily focused on Little India , an area that I love but Singapore, as they say is a big small island and I want to get a feel for other areas of the island. I'll be looking to spend no more than SGD40/night and am fine with/fully expect that I'll be staying in a dorm. ...
