Any Recommendations for Singapore Accommodation? ($200 or less)

Posted by JenHarley on 2/1/2012 at 23:31

My partner and I are staying in Singapore for 3 nights on our way home from a 5 week trip in SE Asia. Keen to stay at a nice, clean hotel (or hostel) with a really good location (preferably a pool too!). We are looking to spend up to $200 (singapore dollars) but keen for anything cheaper! Any ideas? We've been on the internet for days trying to find a place but its proving difficult. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks, ...

We used Canadian dollars in Hawaii and they gave us a terrible exchange rate!!! So if I need cash I will be prepared this time! ...

Hi all, Perhaps not the right forum, but I'll be in Singapore for work in October and I'd like to take a week afterwards for me. But that said, I have no idea where to go... I'd like some good beach time, the chance to do a couple of scuba dives, some good food and decent nightlife. Sites and hikes ok, but not necessary. Budget is above backp ...

Where to stay in Singapore

Posted by jacquelinehope on 20/5/2012 at 07:54

Hi, I'm headed to Singapore for the third time in July and was looking for advice for where to stay to get a slightly different experience from that I've had in Singapore before. Both of my previous Singapore trips have been heavily focused on Little India , an area that I love but Singapore, as they say is a big small island and I want to get a feel for other areas of the island. I'll be looking to spend no more than SGD40/night and am fine with/fully expect that I'll be staying in a dorm. ...

Advice on the Madras hotels in Little India

Posted by nodnroch on 23/12/2008 at 11:23

The Madras Hotels look like good value hotels and we will probably stay at one or the other to work out if they would be suitable for the larger group (mostly teenagers). Can anyone give comments on the benefits of the Tekka (original) versus Eminence branches? Things like facilities, closeness to transport, attractions nearby, food and other things available immediately around the hotel, ...
