I was hoping to catch the train over Kwai river and then spend the night in Nam Tok so as I could walk Hellfire Pass the following day before heading back to Bangkok. Mukdahan has fastest internet in Thailand

Posted by DLuek on 21/5/2015 at 08:16

Mukdahan apparently has the fastest net in the Kingdom. While Bangkok struggles with just 18.1 megabits per second, people in Muk are whizzing at 32.19 mbps -- faster than the average speed in the UK and twice the speed of Australia. Thought a certain member might be interested: ...

Baan Barefeet Naturist resort in Bangkok

Posted by vivid2 on 21/5/2015 at 23:28

Spent an amazing 2 days at Baan Barefeet Naturist resort in Bangkok. What an amazing stay it was. The place is so quiet, beautifully conceived with the right amount of space both outside and inside for one to enjoy naturism. The highlight is the common balcony on the upper floor which allows guests to enjoy naturism outside their rooms and also to interact with other guests . The setting of the pool with the jacuzzi is amazing and the artificial lawn is also good as it has the right amount of sp ...

Question about flight from Chiang

Posted by alexizfresh on 21/5/2015 at 19:33

Planning on traveling in November. Currently researching flights . The plan for right now is to go from Miami>BKK> Chiang Mai . My question is this: when purchasing plane ticket, is it better to buy the ticket Miami to Chiang Mai ticket? I just buy Miami to Chiang Mai and then fly domestic airlines from BKK to Chiang Mai. It appears to be less expensive to do the second option. However, I'm worried about losing luggage/ having to switch airports, etc. Should I just bite the bullet ...

Video impressions of Thailand

Posted by asiantraveler on 3/5/2015 at 03:42

When I'm on holiday in Thailand besides making pictures I also try to shoot some videos. Most of the time these are just impressions of a few minutes maximum. I like to share some of these videos on this forum. Some videos will be of tourist places and therefore familiar for most people, other movies a bit less. Let's start with a video of a small village just outside of Khorat. Driving around with the scooter you get a good impression in just a few hours. ...

I'm 19 and I've never travelled alone before. I'm going to travel in April/May this year and I'm just looking for some feedback on my plan... I understand that tours are frowned upon by some, but I wouldn't feel comfortable just arriving in a foreign land with no plan so I'm pretty set on doing a 15 day STA tour of Cambodia and Vietnam. The main reason being to meet some people and get a foothold in south-east Asia. Has anyone done a tour like this? After the tour I would really like to spend ...
