No more visa free entry to Thailand from Cambodia

Posted by somtam2000 on 12/9/2015 at 15:46

Agh here we go again. Thailand has stopped ALL visa free entry via its land borders with Cambodia. Effective immediately. This means regardless of your nationality if you were planning on entering Thailand via a land crossing with Cambodia you now MUST get a visa beforehand. More details are available on this Thaivisa thread I'd expect this to inconvenience A LOT of travellers. Will add more as it develops. ...

Hi there, I am thinking about going to live in Thailand from mid October to March (about 5 months). I would like to rent a small cheap studio or one bedroom apartment for that time on an Island. I work online wherever I go and will need a good wifi connection. My friends have said there might be some reasonably priced accommodation on the far side of Koh Samui? But I don't know anyone who has actually lived there. Can anyone give me some advice on the rental prices of small houses /apartm ...

Booking hotel in advance- high season

I am planning on traveling to Thailand in late December/early January and am wondering about booking hotels now. The plan is to fly in and out of Bangkok (I have a hotel in Bangkok already) and then traveling to Chiang Mai for a week. Then I will fly down to Krabi for another 10 days. I don't know if I will stay in Krabi the whole time which is why I'm not sure I should book accommodation yet. Initial Reactions to Chiang Mai as New American Expat

Posted by RstephenB on 6/9/2015 at 00:14

I had been researching expat destinations for several years and Chiang Mai always seemed to rise to the top in many of the critical ares of consideration. I did a consult with Angela and Chris who produce the "Tieland to Thailand" blog and site and found their input enormously helpful. I had never been to Asia before but am totally open to the change. I arrived August 24 from Vancouver, B.C. It turned out to be the best price for Business Class from the West Coast of North America, I ...

AirAsia fares question?

Posted by Esseff on 2/9/2015 at 16:09

Hey guys, I'm new around here. In my last thread someone suggested I fly AirAsia instead of using the night trains to get around, so I'm looking at AirAsia flights and they appear to be ridiculously inexpensive as well as saving us about 10 hours of travel give or take. My question is, can someone tell me roughly the total cost for a Low Fare ticket from Bangkok to Chiang Mai (one way), and then from Bangkok to Krabi (round trip)? What I'm confused about is that if you upgrade to the Premiu ...

3 week itinerary -- am I not doing enough?

Posted by alexizfresh on 30/8/2015 at 07:26
