stray dog licked me on koh phagnan. do I need a rabies injection?

Posted by dangerzone15 on 1/3/2015 at 23:38

So a stray dog just randomly licked my leg on koh phagnan and I'm wondering should I get an injection for this? I washed the area within 5 minutes with 2 alcohol wipes but what concerns me is that I have a mosquito bite right at the area where the dog licked. It is a fresh mosquito bite as in it was bleeding a small bit when I rubbed against it with the alcohol wipes. What should I do? And can I even get this injection on koh phagnan? ...

Offering free accommodation in exchange for some help in Koh Samui

Posted by samuiintern on 22/6/2012 at 22:10

My wife and I recently moved to Koh Samui in order to give me a chance to develop my business (I own a number of websites and also help other webmasters out with their online marketing.) We could really use some help with the work and would be interested in having some travellers coming to stay with us to help with blogging, social media and other tasks. In return for 5 hours a day work (Monday to Friday with the weekends off) we would offer free accommodation in a nice house in Bangrak with ...

BUT the big Question is....considering that it is the wet season, and currents and swells are fairly norma ...

Chiang Rai for 2 days - is it worth going?

Posted by roro1990 on 21/2/2015 at 05:07

Currently on a solo trip around Asia and in Chiang Mai and i'm debating going to Chiang Rai. I love the North of Thailand and was meant to be leaving on Monday but i'm wondering if I should stay here for a further 2 days, hitting up Chiang Rai. I don't really wanna trek or anything but the temples there seem awesome and the scenery also is meant to be beautiful. I am with a Thai girl so she can drive me around on her motorbike (I wouldn't trust myself to drive one). Is it worth the money/time ...

Hiya, Wondering if anyone can help - i have tried googling and no luck really. My partner and i are hoping that we can obtain a 60 day Thai visa in Sihanoukville, has anyone ever managed to do this? Also, we have entered Thailand twice in the past 3 months (both on VOA's), will this affect our application? Basically, we had to reenter Thailand on the second VOA - as I broke my collarbone in Siem Reap, and insurance sent us to Bangkok to see the doctor. i don't know if there is a limit as to h ...

Koh Phagnan to Surat Thani airport

Posted by roro1990 on 28/2/2015 at 03:49

Hi, So I arrived in Koh Phagnan today and have a flight from Surat Thani booked on Friday, It leaves at 1.00p.m so ideally i'd have to be at the airport by 11.45a.m at the latest. Is this possible with a ferry? Bearing in mind that i'll be leaving straight after a full moon party for the earliest possible ferry, I dunno if ferries are delayed on this night? Is it manageable to get from Phagnanto Surat Thani airport on time? ...

Visas and return or onward flights

Posted by lindahowson on 22/8/2014 at 23:55

Hi, Can anyone tell me if I can cross on land from Thailand to Laos without proof of an onward flight? More and more we meet up against check in desk officials who will not let us board unless we have "onward flights". When we are travelling without long term plans and definite dates this is becoming a real pain. We want to cross land borders from Thailand to Laos, Laos to Vietnam, Vietnam to Cambodia and Cambodia to Thailand before returning to the UK. Do we need the trouble of ful ...

Confusion over 30 day stay

Posted by dangerzone15 on 27/2/2015 at 12:26

So, my issue is that I arrived in Thailand on the 11th of this month - which means by their law i'm allowed stay until the 12th of march (30 days). But if I leave before then as im planning (on the 7th march) for 4 days to kuala lumpur and return on the 11th of march, will there be any issues? I.e will they just count me returning as part of the original 30 days or will I be granted a "fresh" 30 day stay upon re-entry? ...

Advice on Andaman island hopping in March

Posted by Bilbo1 on 26/2/2015 at 05:19

Hi everyone, I've been to Thailand before but always around July/August time so I'm looking forward to doing some Andaman island hopping in a few days time. I'm staying in Phuket for a couple of nights to recover from my flight and then have 15 days for the islands. I was planning to head to Ko Lanta first (I've already been to PhiPhi) and then work my way down to Ko Ngai, Ko Muk, Ko Bulan Lae, Ko Lipe and then go to the mainland (Pak Bara I believe) and travel back up in a day to Phuket to ge ...

Sangkhlaburi or Thong Pha Phum - Bath with Elephants

Posted by tigershoot on 25/2/2015 at 13:00

I am really wanting to bathe with elephants and I thought I had found the ideal place called Ganesha in Thong Pha Phum on Khao Laem lake. Trouble is it's so booked up for all the dates I wanted. I am going to be staying at P's Guesthouse when I am up in Sangklhaburi. I know there is an elephant camp up there as I have booked on one their tours. Does anyone know if it's possible to pay extra and bathe with them? Or is there another place down Thong Pha Phum way that allows this. We will be ther ...

Preferably on the gulf side as I have visited phi phi, phuket, so nang and raileh alreafy. I enjoy a beautiful sunset so any islands that stand out in this regard would be a bonus.
