Accomodation in Chiangmai

Posted by Tapsiful on 7/11/2009 at 23:00

Hi there, I need accommodation in Muang Chiangmai for two months with fast internet connection but I don't want to spend lot of cash for a hotel room. Basically any kind of raunchy room would do, the only important thing is the internet connection. Could somebody suggest me where I should look for this kind of rooms/flats? Or is there any reliable 3G network provider in Chiangmai that provides broadband wireless internet for which foreigners can subscribe? Thanks ...

what do you think of my thai/lao plan?

Posted by christay2009 on 5/11/2009 at 16:39

Essentially, i have come up with this just by looking at the map and reading about a couple of places in North Eastern Thailand. I would arrive in Bangkok by plane before heading up North East thailand over 2 weeks or so [similar to the TF itinerary] before crossing over into Vientiane, Laos. Id then work my way through southern Laos for 3 weeks or so before cutting back into Thailand at Pakse. Take the train from Udon Ratchathani back to Bangkok and fly home. What does anyone think? i've ...

Ko Tao to Chieow Laan Lake and Khao Sok?

Posted by Nerel3000 on 9/11/2009 at 03:39

Does anyone know the best way to get between Chieow Laan Lake or Khao Sok and Ko Tao of Ko Ph Ngan? We have just two weeks in Thailand for our first trip and planned to do a couple of days in Bangkok, then head to one of the above islands followed by a trip to Khao Sok and Chieow Laan lake, and then back to the other island for a couple of days and back to Bangkok. Has anyone done a similar trip and know how easy this travel would be / if it would be worth doing? We don't want to trave ...

Khao Lak/Lanta/Phi Phi - help?

Posted by carlyb on 8/11/2009 at 22:28

Hello My boyfriend and I are going to be in Thailand for the first time for 10 days at the beginning of Dec, flying into Phuket . We’ve booked accommodation on Ko Lone (Lohn?) off Phuket for the last 4 nights but we’re really struggling to decide where to base ourselves for the first 5 nights. This holiday is def about max relaxation for us so a picturesque beach with some nice snorkeling is important, choice of restaurants (seafood bbq would be great) and chilled bars not massive p ...

Khao Lak or Phuket

Posted by fiddlerd on 16/10/2009 at 00:58

I am trying to decide whether to visit Phuket or Khao Lak... Anyone have any opinion on this? I am going with my wife and we can afford something on the nicer side of things - $150-$200/night - and are looking for a good mixture of relaxation, snorkeling/diving, other water sports (sailing), and some nightlife. ...

Ko Tao

Posted by itchyfeet on 3/11/2009 at 12:59

Sorry to write yet another question concerning Ko Tao but we do appreciate everyone's knowledgeable insights... My boyfriend and I are set to return to Thailand in January. When we were there last, we spent an idyllic 10 days at Haad Khom and could have spent another 50 if our bank accounts and visas would have allowed... We will return to Haad Khom again in January, but this time we only have about 2 weeks to play with in the area. We are hesitant just to retrace our steps though and we had ...

New destinations south of Chiang Mai

Posted by somtam2000 on 4/11/2009 at 10:31

We’ve been busy deepening our coverage along the famous Mae Hong Son loop in northern Thailand and have just added seven new spots working south from Chiang Mai. First stop is Hang Dong, followed in quick succession by Sanpatong , Chom Thong , Hot , Mae Chaem , the very little visited Mae Na Chon and last but not least, Thailand’s tallest peak, Doi Inthanon . So if you’re doing some slow travel along this route, you might want to give some of these spots a looksee. ...

Phuket Accomodation??

Posted by ctam2009 on 4/11/2009 at 20:32

Hello, I'll be in Phuket for a few days next week and was hoping someone might be able to suggest a place to stay. We're hoping for something on the beach thats still affordable (around $10-$15 a night), if such a thing still exists on Phuket.. We've been able to find just that in Ko Chang, and love it here, but hope to find something similiar down in Phuket. If someone could suggest a location or even the best beach to start searching at it would be appreciated! Thanks much.. ...
