Looking for an untouristed island in Thailand?

Posted by somtam2000 on 20/5/2009 at 08:22

A common question is from readers looking for an island in Thailand with few tourists and a more unadulterated vibe. Look no further than Ko Sukorn, as this excellent blog entry illustrates: http://circleourearth.com/ko-sukorn/ Enjoy! ...

Help with Thailand Itinerary

Posted by xximaxx on 19/5/2009 at 06:08

Hi, I'm heading to Thailand for a month in August/Sept (10/08 - 09/09), and was wondering if anyone could give me some help on a route to take? We were thinking of heading up north first and then finishing up at the islands down south. Having read the weather report, we'll probably just spend our last week relaxing in Koh Samui and Koh PhaNgan. We also want to fit in the full moon party on the 4th of Sept. My main problem is deciding what we want to do up north and how long we should s ...

How much advance preparation is necessary?

Posted by cantilevered on 19/5/2009 at 08:13

Hello, I'm going to be taking a 5-week trip to Thailand between July and August. While there, I'd like to take advantage of the opportunity to see the S.E. Asia region (Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam... even Hong Kong, etc.). Is it necessary to book flights in advance right now? Instead, after getting to Thailand can I just book tickets a few days in advance as I go along? Thank you for your help! ...

Weather in August/ Sept?

Posted by ardones on 5/5/2009 at 03:20

We can travel from the 21/8 to 10/9 and would love to do the islands in Southern Thailand, but the travel info suggests it is getting pretty wet by then. Just how bad is it? We can cope with short term heavy rain but would not appreciate many hours/days of rain as we will be enjoying beaches and travelling around. ...

Which islands in 10 days?

Posted by robin84 on 28/4/2009 at 10:41

I'm spending 10 days in Thailand in late May with 4 friends (all in our mid 20s.) I backpacked around Thailand in '05, the only islands I went to then were Ko Phi Phi and Ko Pha Nga. This time as I only have 10 days I'd like to base myself on 2 or 3 islands. I fly into Phuket but really don't fancy spending much time there - not a big resort girl. Any suggestions on which islands would be best? Happy to travel a bit, but as time is limited don't want to spend days travelling from place ...

halo guys, Im planning to visit Korat around June, and will be spending around 2 days in the province. A bit worried though, having heard about the demonstrations happening in Pattaya which I hope aren't spreading to other area. Do you think the city/the provicence safe enough? Other than that, my plan consists of spending 2 days in the province, with objective being to visit Phimai Park first. Afterwards, I might want to visit Phanom Rung and Muang Tam -- if im not mistaken, those t ...
