Posted by scramblin8man on 9/4/2012 at 04:02

For those looking to spend some time in Nha Trang my girlfriend has a recently constructed suite for rent by the month. Cost is US 50/mo. It is a one room suite with small cooking area, separate bath and loft. It is located on the highway to Cam Ranh just outside Nha Trang. There is a public bus stop out front with regular service. Cost is 20 cents and takes 20 minutes to beach - no transfers. There is offstreet parking for a motorbike. Extra costs if needed are propane for cooking and wireles ...

My flight is cancelled!

Posted by susantsao2 on 23/3/2010 at 17:03

Being a fairly new traveler I am trying to find out if my treatment on my latest flights was the norm for airlines. My return flight home was cancelled for two consecutive days. The only thing I was offered was a discounted room voucher and a booking on another flight another day later. No food vouchers or even credit on future flight, as I finally had to rent a car to get home due to time limitations. Is there any other recourse I can try. The airline has responded that they can offer me nothin ...

Air Asia - really this cheap?!

Posted by Sparts on 5/6/2009 at 04:45

Hi, first time visit to SE Asia. I'm coming from the UK and rather than pay the silly prices quoted to me by my travel agent for internal flights I thought I'd check out Air Asia. Ever heard the saying too good to be true?! These prices are so cheap and the reviews of the airline are so good, there must be a catch? Someone please convince me there is no catch! ...

Air Asia: how to claim for delayed or missed flights

Posted by busylizzy on 10/1/2010 at 23:55

I actually picked this up in a post by another member some time ago, buried in a thread about Air Asia, I think. I thought I'd give it it's own thread to help make people aware. Air Asia have a policy that if one of their flights is delayed by more than 2 hours, you can make a claim, and be rewarded with a voucher for approx $USD60. (RM200, IDR500,000, etc). From their Oct 2008 press statement: "....making guests affected by flight delays of more than two hours eligible to receive an e- ...

Wanting to book a trip but want to wait for Air Asia to hold another one of their big sales? If only you knew when the next one was due? The Air Asia NZ Facebook page has a link to an article that provided an 'AA Yearly Promotion Analysis' that could be useful to know. 1) AirAsia launches the Zero Fares Promotion twice per year - roughly every 6 months or so (currently expected to be in mid-May and mid-November) 2) Travel period is usually 6 to 8 months away 3) Airport taxes, baggage, meals no ...

Flight Price when buying in different countries?

Posted by stefanw on 2/9/2011 at 10:44

Do the flight prices of Airasia or any other budget airline from Malaysia change depending on where you buy them? So what I'm asking is if I was in Malaysia and bought a ticket would it be cheaper than buying in New Zealand? I have heard of people buying tickets in Malaysia to NZ return for $400. This would be an amazing sale if you could get this price in NZ. Do they sell cheap flights to people who turn up and buy a ticket at the airport? Would it be cheaper to turn up at the airport in KL a ...

Avoid eDreams!

Posted by Mosh on 7/8/2011 at 16:53

I had issues with this company about 2 years ago when I was trying to book a flight, and fortunately managed to get a refund and book my flight elsewhere. Others weren't so lucky. I uploaded the linked blog post at the time and have had a *lot* of comments in recent weeks (I guess due to the holiday season) having similar, or worse, issues. Amusingly, a staff member from eDreams themselves commented for a while insisting that these problems were no longer the case and that they would deal with ...
