Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Thinking of launching from Bangkok. ...

We need help for traveling in Cambodia for one week at the end of July 2008. We are a group of 3 adults and 4 kids. What should we see after spending one day in Siem Reap and Phom Phen. We would like to see the Mondulkiri Province. Is this possible and how can we get there? Please advise with any information including tours/tour agents. Thanks a lot. ...

One month North to South trip with 3 smallish children?!

Posted by snllfamily on 6/2/2007 at 05:51

We are travelling Hanoi to HCM mid march to mid April with 3 children aged 7,8 and 12. Has anyone any suggestions for 'must do and see' and likewise 'must avoid at all cost'. Don't want to be herded about en masse- looking for safe adventure on flash packer budget. Also I am confused as to the best way to deal with money. Some books say cash machines are easy to find, but one person told me he was charged £60.00 for cash withdrawal. What about travellers cheques? and can you get vietnamese c ...

We do not want to go down the "organised package" route but would like to explore a little rather than stay in just one place. look forward to hearing from you ...

Traveling with children

Posted by Esther on 12/2/2006 at 19:22

Hi My family (husband and 2 kids aged 7 and 9) and I are visiting Thailand mid May. We will be arriving in Bangkok and making our own way to Krabi or Phuket area to then get a ferry to Ko Phi Phi or Ko Lanta (we haven't decided yet). Should we take a plane or is the train journey worth doing as we'd quite like an adventure but realise our kids might not quite see it that way as the journey may be very long and difficult. Incidentally we would also like to make contact with a school or orp ...
