I have recently bought a camcorder and want to be able to edit the footage I have taken - it came with some trial s/w (Cyberlink Power Director) which I will need to upgrade to the full version to get all the tools - so has anyone ever used this? What other options should I be looking at? I am not averse to paying... but obviously if there is decent freeware about then that is better

There are many 'free' public access points in VietNam such as in KFC-Kentucky Fried Chicken, Highlands Coffee, Pho 24, etc which are often supplied through FTP Telecom.
Unfortunately, many staff at outlets do not know much about these systems and in particular, the user name and password.
The default Username and Password for FTP Telecom public access points are Username=FTP and Password=Telecom.

Can travellers recommend any mobile wifi enabled devices that I can access the internet while I travel? This would mainly be so I can access things like my internet banking facilities without using the potentially insecure terminals in internet cafes and the like.
I'm thinking along the lines of the Asus EEC Netbook but any recommendations would be gratefully received.
I assume that wifi connections will be relatively easy to find in the major tourist areas? ...
We are a family travelling for 6 months in India, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
We will bring a computer (ASUS EEEPC with WIFI, only 1 kg)and are ready to buy a mobile phone once we're there.
