Best 1 Day Mekong Tour

Posted by N45H on 9/11/2015 at 03:12

Hi all, I will be in HCMC with my girlfriend next week for just 3 days, and we are hoping to do a day tour of the Mekong. We've heard there is an abundance of tour operators but just hoping to get a recommendation as I'm sure there are a wide variety of qualities. We're happy to pay around the 400,000-500,000 mark (I've seen as cheap as 2-300k advertised) if we get a quality tour, and even better if we can get a smallish group as opposed to being herded around with 30+ other tourists. We'd just ...

We are going from Hanoi to Lao Cai on either Friday 6th October or Saturday 7th I have just read that there is a new online booking system with Viet Nam Railways I was thinking of doing the trip independently but it would be great not to have the hassle of going to the train station to buy a ticket The website seems to still be under development in relation to the English version but after some trial and error I think I could book and possibly pay for 3 sleeping berths in a four berth cabin ...

Hello! I have a couple of options regarding travel times to Vietnam. This is my first time to Vietnam and there's a good chance I may not be able to travel to Vietnam again, so I'd really like to make it count. Which would you recommend: 14 days in mid- March or 19 days in July? I know March has great weather which I greatly appreciate, but it may feel a little rushed. Taking the trip in July affords me more time, however humid & hot weather along with rains may cause me to seek a cool, hote ...

Nha Trang to Hoi An in early November - very rainy?

I'm arriving in Saigon at end of October and will be leaving to explore the country in early November. I've got a contact for an "easy rider" type motorbike touring guide.... Nha Trang to Hoi An seems to be a very attractive route, but probably very rainy in early Nov. Saigon seems to be already in the dry season by then, but the route I'm planning not there any alternate routes that would be similarly exciting but perhaps better for the weather? Or am I making too much of a ...
