Vietnam & Thailand Visas

Posted by Clare1993 on 1/9/2012 at 22:20

Hey guys, My boyfriend and I are going to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand (in that order) from November 3 to January 26 this year. We decided to go to a travel agent yesterday to find out what visas and everything we need because we thought it was easier (we are from Australia by the way). We were told that we will need to get a Vietnam visa ($72AUD) and Thai visa ($45AUD) before we go. We were then told that we need to have documentation of the way we will enter and exit each country as w ...

Posted by MarkUnders on 6/8/2012 at 18:29

Me and my girlfriend are from UK and looking to spend about 8 weeks in Thailand then approx 6 weeks Vietnam and Laos before reentering Thailand for further 8 weeks, after which we're going to Malalysia and Bali before returning to bangkok to get home (we have purchased a return ticket LDN to BKK with date changes) it seems you can only get 90 days in 6 months although on forums people have suggested that in reality you can obtain multiple tourist visas without any hassle when needed(i ...

Requirements in Beijing for a Thai Tourist Visa, the same everywhere else?

Posted by brouillette on 20/8/2010 at 23:17

I just went to the Thai Visa consular in Beijing the other day and they required these documents: *proof of funds (10,000 rmb/1,500 usd) *residency permit *a company or school to vouch for me as their employee or student (not possible to get past if you aren't working or in college) Wondering if it is this difficult anywhere else to apply for a 30 day tourist visa? I'm an American, aware of the 15 days free. Not willing to travel by air as an alternative for the 30 days, the visa is so inexpens ...

Thailand Visa Dilemma

I have been researching Thai visa's for hours now and still haven't quite figured it out. I am a US citizen traveling the world. Approximately 3-4 months from now I will be visiting SEA. I would like to fly from Singapore to Bangkok. From there I will head north and eventually enter Laos, then Vietnam, then Cambodia and reenter Thailand via land at Poipet to spend time in Ko Chang. I would like the option to stay in Thailand more the 15 days once I reenter. That leads me to a multi-entry tourist ...

Vietnam/Laos: Sop Hun/Tay crossing Trang

Posted by Ally_the_Cat on 26/3/2012 at 05:00

Hello all, I am a lone female traveler and am looking to cross into Laos from Vietnam in about a week and a half at the Sop Hun/Tay Trang crossing. I will be in Sapa prior to this and feel it would be a waste of a day to go all the way back to Hanoi to do the crossing from there with an organized bus/boat tour (suggested to me by my hostel here in Hanoi, of course). I am unsure of what I do when I get to the Laos side. I am trying to make it up to Luang Prabang or Vang Vieng. I have re ...
