Return Flights

Posted by BTone on 1/11/2012 at 19:17

Hey, Just a quick question. I'm flying into Bangkok on Feb 3, but flying home from Hanoi in mid July. I've read a few times that you need a return flight to avoid trouble at the airport. Will the flight home from Hanoi suffice, or does it have to be from Bangkok? For the record, I'm Australian and I'm only going to spend 30 visa free days in Thailand. I hope that makes sense. Cheers, Tom ...

was asked to pay fees at malaysian-thai border crossing (sadao) by thai immigration?

Posted by thebigjebowski on 29/10/2012 at 17:02

I recently visited Hat Yai, Thailand with my uncle and my aunt. We took a bus from Kuala Lumpur and entered Thailand at the Sadao crossing. The Thai immigration officer asked us for RM2 each, without saying what it is for. Not wanting to cause any fuss, we paid. After all, what is 2 ringgit? Coming back into Malaysia a couple of days later, the thai immigration officer this time asked me to pay RM10, saying something about how I don't have a visa in Malaysia and that time on my malaysian stam ...

Slow boat from chau doc to PP border crossing

Posted by Amiecallie on 28/9/2012 at 09:12

Hello, a couple of questions about the slow boat crossing the border between chau doc in Vietnam and PP, Cambodia. I have read a lot in forums on here some say there is no slow boat and then some people say the slow boat is more comfortable and has a toilet and only takes 6 hours. Well we are in a dilemma with what to do, we opted for a slow boat as we are on a really tight budget and don't mind a longer boat journey. However all day today our guide has been on at us to pay a little extra and ge ...

Posted by Clare1993 on 1/9/2012 at 22:20

Hey guys, My boyfriend and I are going to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand (in that order) from November 3 to January 26 this year. We decided to go to a travel agent yesterday to find out what visas and everything we need because we thought it was easier (we are from Australia by the way). We were told that we will need to get a Vietnam visa ($72AUD) and Thai visa ($45AUD) before we go. We were then told that we need to have documentation of the way we will enter and exit each country as w ...

Requirements in Beijing for a Thai Tourist Visa, the same everywhere else?

Posted by brouillette on 20/8/2010 at 23:17

I just went to the Thai Visa consular in Beijing the other day and they required these documents: *proof of funds (10,000 rmb/1,500 usd) *residency permit *a company or school to vouch for me as their employee or student (not possible to get past if you aren't working or in college) Wondering if it is this difficult anywhere else to apply for a 30 day tourist visa? I'm an American, aware of the 15 days free. Not willing to travel by air as an alternative for the 30 days, the visa is so inexpens ...

Thailand Visa Dilemma

I have been researching Thai visa's for hours now and still haven't quite figured it out. I am a US citizen traveling the world. Approximately 3-4 months from now I will be visiting SEA. I would like to fly from Singapore to Bangkok. From there I will head north and eventually enter Laos, then Vietnam, then Cambodia and reenter Thailand via land at Poipet to spend time in Ko Chang. I would like the option to stay in Thailand more the 15 days once I reenter. That leads me to a multi-entry tourist ...
