Posted by mischiefmack on 27/10/2010 at 18:34

Can you apply for the Vietnam visa before flying, but leave without having the printed approval letter? I lost my passport, and couldn`t get a temporary without proof of travel, but obviously I couldn`t apply for the vsa until I had a passport. So now the flight is tomorrow. My Vietnam visa assures me the approval will be gotten before I get to Vietnam, but not before I have to leave for the airport, and lose all access to a printer.... What do I do????????????????? Posted by kristoffer_zaar on 24/11/2010 at 19:06

Hi. Planning on getting a Thai visa at the embassy in Phnom Penh, and as I reviewed the list of required documents, some of them got me a bit confused. According to this page: the required documents for tourist visa are: 1. One completed and signed application form -- Check 2. One photo (colour, size 4 x 6 cm) -- Ok, no problem 3. Passport (valid for no less than 6 months) -- Sure thing 4. Copy of ID card -- Of course 5. Copy of residence certifi ...

I just read in the forum that i need a proof that i will leave the country within 30 days. Unfortunately i do not have such a proof. I only have flight tickets from luang prabang to hanoi and one more within vietnam. i do not know whether my airline / the authorities will accept that as proof. Any ideas? I am now cons ...

Hi! For various reasons when I was in Vietnam I didn't get all my shopping done that I wanted. I was hoping to pop back quickly to HCMC before I head home to get some Christmas shopping done at the market. Does anyone know if I still require a visa if I am only in the country for 12 hours? I know that in China you do not need a visa for a short layover....wondering if the same theory applies in Vietnam? Thanks! ...

Hi, I'm a chinese passport holder, working in Hong Kong, and a US greencard holder, I'm planning to take the train from Bangkok to Singapore via Malaysia, for approx. 14 days. I think I can get a Thailand visa on arrival, I'm not so sure about Malaysia ? I'll also need a Singapore visa, does anybody know what constitutes as a 'local contact' to apply for eVisa, as I'll just be visiting by myself. Additionally, for VOA, is there typically a long queue that I should plan for plenty of time? I'll ...

Thai visa clarification

I am planning on heading to Thailand in October. I am a Canadian, I believe I don't need to apply for a Visa,(a trip less than thirty doesn't require a prior visa application) Is this correct? The total trip is more than 30 days, but half will not be in Thailand(exiting to go to Cambodia and Vietnam), but since we are beginning and ending our trip in Thailand, does this change things? Thank you kindly. ...

Getting a Chinese Visa in Vietnam?

I'm on my way to Hanoi and I would like to get a Chinese visa there. I've heard that its very difficult, which is kinda baffling considering that they share a border and that Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam. Anyone recently get a Chinese visa in Hanoi? Which tour agent did you use and how long did it take? I was planning on spending 6-8 weeks in China but I'm not hearing positive things about getting the visa in Hanoi. ...
