Prek Chak / Xa Xia crossing - Visa On Arrival

Posted by apfennell on 20/5/2008 at 23:50

I'm planning to go to Phu Quoc in mid-august for ~4days and then onto Phnom Penh. I was planning to get the boat to Ha Tien from Phu Quoc - can anyone confirm if this is actually running in August (times/cost?)? My main worry is the crossing to Cambodia and getting a visa - I emailed the Cambodian Embassy in London (I'm actually Irish but they handle Irish requests) and they said Visa On Arrival is available at that crossing. However seeing as I can find no confirmation of this online by trav ...

4 entries into thailand

Posted by emielvl on 30/11/2007 at 08:43

I plan to have 4 entries into thailand on my next asia trip (each of the 4 periods of stay not exceeding 30 days). My total time in asia will be almost 6 months. Am i right if i say that i cannot do this on visa exemptions? (because a maximum of 3 is allowed, one initial entry and 2 renewable consecutive times)? What are my other options? is it perhaps possible to apply beforehand for a 1 entry tourist visa, use this one the first time and use the other 3 times a visa exemption? What about t ...

Vietnamese visa in Seam Reap

Posted by ade7 on 5/5/2008 at 01:06

Hi, I am hoping to travel from seam reap to saigon, and was wandering whether I can get a vietnamese visa in seam reap (although i will be passing through Phnom Penh, I will only be staying one day there, so would rather get the visa in SR, where I will be staying a few days). Is there a vietnamese embassy in Seam Reap? Or will it have to be done through an agency? Any idea on how long it takes to process and how much they are to purchase? Thanks very much for any help you can offer. Cheers, ...

Posted by madindaelephant on 13/4/2008 at 09:51

Hello all, I have a double entry tourist visa (allowing me to stay in Thailand 60 days at a time) at the moment and I've already used up both entries. Before returning to the states I wanted to go to Cambodia, but I'm not sure if I would be able to re-enter Thailand (I'll stay in Bangkok 5 days until my flight). My double entry visa ...

Getting a Cambodian visa with just 5 months passport validity

Posted by rosiec on 7/3/2008 at 19:57

Is it possible? Sorry, I probably first posted this in the wrong area. I'm a Canadian currently living in Japan, and my passport expires in 12/08. My husband & I are traveling to Siem Reap for just a few days in July. Will I be denied entry for having less than 6 months validity, or is it just a matter of paying a little more $. I'd rather not have to apply for a new passport in Japan. ...

My wife and I just picked up our Vietnam visas in Vientiane. I wanted to relay our experience since we couldn't find much info about it before we did it. We turned up at about 3:45pm, took a tuk tuk from That Dam, took about 5 minutes and the tuk tuk driver waited for us for the return journey. 60,000kip total. The sign states they are open until 4:30pm. We were directed to the consular section, where we were asked to fill in a form and provide a single passport sized photo. The official ...
