Ladies' nights in Singapore

Ladies' nights in Singapore

Just for the gals.

More on Downtown Singapore

As a modern, independent gal I’d normally turn my nose up at the thought of drink prices depending on gender… but, given Singapore’s expensive nature – especially when it comes to drinking – I’ll take all the deals I can get!

Travelfish says:

Many Singapore bars combat the mid-week lull with a “Ladies’ Night” promotion every Wednesday. Not only do “ladies” get into the clubs without paying cover charge, some bars sweeten the deal with completely free drinks. The premise seems to be if you get the girls good and sloshed then the (paying) male customers will follow.

Luscious ladies love lychee liquor.

If free drinks are the goal, then the hands-down winner is Wednesday Ladies’ Night at Dbl O. While the guys pay a hefty S$30 just to get in the club, girls get free entry and free drinks all night long. The Butter Factory calls their Ladies’ Night Butter Cookies, with free entry plus free beer and house-pour spirits until 01:00. Wednesday is also Ladies’ Night at the St James Power Station entertainment complex. Female customers are entitled to 5 free drinks after 23:00 at the Boiler Room, Dragonfly, and Bellini Room.

More of a lounge than a nightclub, Soma Bar offers free-flow of sparkling wine (that’s Singapore lingo for drink as much as you want) to female customers on Wednesday night from 18:30 to 20:30. The smells from the attached Indian restaurant are so tempting you might decide to stay for dinner. Ku De Ta, the bar at the Marina Sands Skypark, recently started their ultra-luxe Ladies’ Night called Diamond Life – definitely wear heels to this one! It only includes one free drink after 21:00, but the real draw is the chance to win some designer fashions.

Wednesday is also Ladies’ Night at many of the bars at Clarke Quay. Attica waives cover charge and offers free glasses of bubbly until midnight. Zirca Mega Club calls their promotion LOLLIPOP, with free entry, 5 free drinks, and, yes, free lollipops for the ladies. Female customers always enjoy free entry to Shanghai Dolly, but they also drink for free from 21:00 to midnight every Wednesday night. Arena nightclub is kind enough to make Wednesdays ands Thursday Ladies’ Nights with free entry and free lychee martinis all night long.

Bucking the trend, Thursday is Ladies’ Night at Heat Ultralounge on Orchard Road. The first drink costs S$18++, but then have as many more as you like for free from 19:00 till 21:00. If that wasn’t enough temptation there’s also a chocolate fountain. TAB, a new live music venue, loves the ladies so much that every night is Ladies’ Night with buy-one-get-one-free cocktails from 20:00 until closing.

Hopefully male readers haven’t completely abandoned this post because it’s Guys’ and Girls’ Night every Monday and Wednesday at Le Baroque bar at CHJIMES. It doesn’t matter what’s in your pants, just pay S$20 and drink as much as you want from 21:00 to 23:30.
