Post-Full Moon Party breakfasts on Ko Pha Ngan

So the sun is up and you’ve successfully navigated your way through Ko Pha Ngan’s Full Moon Party. You haven’t slept yet, but somehow your hangover is rearing its ugly head. You’re exhausted, but thrilled after such a fun party. Time for breakfast! But where? Don’t fret. Here are some of the best breakfast spots on the island so that you don’t have to think when you probably can’t anyway…

As Cafe Thong Sala

Great traveler breakfasts

A’s Coffee Shop in Thong Sala is a backpacker favourite, and they have so many breakfast options you might find yourself overwhelmed by choice. There’s something for nearly every homesick nationality: breakfasts from Germany, Spain, Europe, and Mexico all feature and are around 200 baht. Find A’s at Buakao Inn Guesthouse, not far from the main pier.

Niras Home Bakery

For fresh-baked goods

If you want a baked treat, look no further than Nira’s Home Bakery, which has locations in both Thong Sala and Haad Rin. The Haad Rin location is much smaller than the Thong Sala joint, but both serve up freshly-baked muffins, croissants, and more. The sandwiches and coffees are also delicious. In Thong Sala, Nira’s is just opposite the main pier, and the other branch is along the main road in Haad Rin Nok.

JJs restaurant Ko Pha Ngan

Best breakfast on the west coast

JJ’s, located along the long strip of beach called Ao Hinkhong, has an extensive menu that caters to every kind of crowd. Whether you’re after a healthy spirulina shake or a sausage and caramelised onion sandwich, you’ll find it here — the latter being the preferred hangover breakfast on the west coast of the island. JJ’s along Hinkhong Road, near The Jam and Il Chiosco Italian restaurant.

The World's End Cafe

Breakfast in the north of the island.

So you probably wouldn’t drive all the way to Chaloklum just for the food, but if you happen to be staying in the area, grab a morning songthaew home from the party and head to The World’s End, a fantastic little joint. They do a great full English breakfast, as well as amazing wraps, paninis and more. Their lattes are delicious. Find this spot towards the east end of the Chaloklum horseshoe.

Same Same bar

Take a seat and chill

Same Same Bar & Restaurant is a Haad Rin institution, providing a full English breakfast of two sausages, three strips of bacon, eggs cooked however you like, toast, baked beans and tomatoes, for 240 baht. They also do a mean “hangover burger” if you need something a bit more targeted. Find Same Same towards the east of Haad Rin Nok, near Paradise Bungalows, the original home of the Full Moon Party.
