Probably Samui's most famous restaurant, and a popular wedding and events venue, The Five Islands is located on quiet Taling Ngam beach, overlooking its namesake of five small islands.
They offer longboat tours to this attraction, a good way to extend an afternoon lunch. Open for lunch, dinner and sunset cocktails, the menu is predominantly Thai, with a few fusion twists. Although pricey, the ambience, sunsets, location and overall package need to be taken into account to see why this restaurant is consistently popular. A far drive from the main tourist drags, so go easy on the cocktails unless you are taking a taxi home.
