I’m an American expat who came to Thailand on a 6-month teaching whim, but never managed to leave. Over two years has gone by, and I still get excited waking up in Bangkok every morning. You couldn’t ask for better food, nicer people, or a more beautiful culture. Thailand—and, all of South East Asia—are truly addicting destinations of the world.
Thailand: Everywhere (thrice) Cambodia: Phnom Penh, Siem Reap Laos: Vientiene, Louang Prabang Burma/Myanmar: Mae Sot Singapore
Next, I thirst for adventure in Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay, Burma. I'm blown away by the beauty of the landscape, the ancient wats, and the people. If you've gone in the past, please share with me any advice and/or details about your journey. I'm also destined to backpack through Vietnam in the near future. I can't believe it hasn't happened yet; but, I yearn to one day slowly make my way north along the coastline from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi, stopping day-by-day at small towns along the way.
