You’ll need to pay a 10,000 rupiah entrance fee to the complex, for which you’ll receive a bar of their coconut oil soap. A cafe serves up hot chocolate and you can also buy their range of products; we love their chocolate-covered goji berries and coconut syrup.
The coconut grove set-up is a little offbeat. It includes a ship-like building to explore as well as a huge swing-for-two that is worth a whirl -- you’ll feel like you’re about to fly into the ocean. We used to know this place as Charly’s, but it seems the name has been changed -- the chocolate and coconut stuff is just the same.
The place is difficult to find -- you may be convinced you’re lost, but keep following the road and you’ll get to the entrance, just by Pondok Shanti Agung.
If you’re a chocolate lover you’ll also want to check out Uforia Chocolate. It’s located right next to Turtle Bay Hideaway (Jalan Pura Mascima). They are open Mon-Sat 08:00-17:30 and Sun 08:00-12:00, 14:00-17:00. Check their website for details on when they have their chocolate-making sessions.
