A quick trip up for the view
The temple is a modern build and it may not be so interesting to the average tourist but there is a view of the mountains and to the valley below which would be especially stunning during the green season.
That Xieng Tung is the most important stupa in Muang Sing and people from all over Luang Nam Tha province make pilgrimage during the That Xieng Tung festival, held every year on the full moon of the 12th lunar month (usually October or November).
