Bang Saen Aquarium

4 1

Bang Saen's university has a marine faculty which has been an integral part of building, and maintaining, this huge aquarium.

No pic at the moment -- Sorry!

It competes with any large aquarium in Thailand and is definitely worth seeing. Check out mantas, sharks, corals and some of the most exotic fish you will find. There is only one drawback to this attraction -- the price. The overt display of a dual pricing system can be offensive. Non-Thais (even if you are resident in Thailand) pay more than triple. The 100B entrance fee may still be reasonable, but it does rankle when the Thai price is visibly displayed. Having said that, the staff here are very good, English is spoken and the whole set-up is professional. Kids will love this attraction, and the parents won't find it too bad either. To reach the aquarium, walk through the main gate of the university and turn right.
