A perfect morning out

Makham Pom Art Space is a very interesting, well-designed and pleasantly laid-out arts complex, located a short ride across the Ping River to the east of Chiang Dao.
Depending upon the time of your visit there could be plenty going on here and you should be able to check on their Facebook page, but worst case, on a quiet day, it makes for an excellent lunch spot and you can avail yourself of their tempting coffee shop and cafe and find a perch on the terrace looking out over the garden.
It’s a short hop by bicycle from town or perhaps eight or nine kilometres total from Ban Tham, plus the surrounding farmlands and villages of the flat Ping Valley make for an ideal area to explore by pedal power.
