Minh Tanh Pagoda

Our rating:

Even if you think you’ve had your fill of pagodas in Vietnam, towering Minh Tanh’s bold red colour and ornate details are impressive.

The front courtyard holds a tranquil garden with a water feature and plenty of bonsai and the complex is a pleasant place to explore, though it will not take more than 20-30 minutes.

We were lucky to visit the temple during a very important festival and the air was filled with chanting and bells. Otherwise expect a quiet, contemplative atmosphere. We asked everyone we met at the temple if they could tell us any interesting details about the pagoda and no one had any information. It is quite obviously a modern day construction.
