Snorkelling on Gili Air

We found the snorkelling around Gili Air to be pretty good with quiet interesting coral banks and plenty of fish. The southwest coast has some good intricate banks of coral that are rich with little critters — this is where the snorkelling trips from Gili Trawangan tend to visit, and with good reason. Explore the island

Sturdy mountain bikes can be hired from a couple of rental shops just near the boat landing and make for the best way to explore Gili Air. There is a trail that runs right around the island but, as on Gili Trawangan, it gets thick with sand in places.
