How to get to and from Bajawa

Travel to most major destinations can be arranged through your hotel or via the tourist office opposite Hotel Edelweiss (if it is open).

Sample fares include Labuan Bajo 160,000 rupiah, Ruteng 80,000 and Ende 80,000.

There is also a morning bus that seats a maximum of 24 people (in theory) that leaves Bajawa at 06:30 to Moni (stopping at Ende). The fare is 80,000 rupiah to Ende and 120,000 to Moni.

To Riung both the bus and Travel leave at midday -- we were told there is only the one departure daily and the four to five hour trip costs 70,000 rupiah.

The closest port to Bajawa is Aimere, from where there is a weekly ferry service to Kupang.
