Getting around

Although a songthaew from Nathon to Choeng Mon or Plai Laem is possible, is it not on a regular route and would involve changing songthaews in Bophut. Songthaews that leave the Ring Road, would travel on route 4171, but not to the smaller bays in Plai Laem, such as Tongsai Bay. Those arriving by ferry may prefer to take a taxi in this case, and be aware that if your accommodation is far from the 4171, hiring a scooter or jeep may be a better option than public transport. If you are staying along the main Choeng Mon beach, then songthaews are still an option to Chaweng.

Some songthaews travel the back route to Chaweng via Choeng Mon. Choeng Mon to Chaweng would cost approximately 50 baht and take 25 min.
