How to get a Philippines visa in Singapore
The fact that we don't currently cover the Philippines is no excuse to leave this archipelago paradise off your itinerary.
Visa-free entry to the Philippines for up to 21 days is given to citizens of many countries including Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, UK, most of Europe, Japan, South Korea, and ASEAN countries. However, if you're on the list of countries that require a visa in advance or plan to stay longer than 21 days, there's an Embassy of the Philippines in Singapore to help you.
First off, it's important to mention that the embassy may refuse you visa services if you are not a Singapore citizen or resident (i.e. living in Singapore on a work/study/family visa). Like the embassies of China and India in Singapore, this is completely at their discretion. It's worth calling ahead, explaining your situation, and seeing if they can help.
If you are from a visa-required country (including India, China, and most Middle Eastern countries), a 21-day tourist visa to the Philippines will take 10 working days to process. To apply you require a completed application form, one recent photograph, proof of round-trip travel to the Philippines, a passport with at least 6 months validity, and application fee of S$110.50 in cash.
If you are applying for a long-term visa you will require the same things plus any supporting documents that give more details about your trip (such as proof you'll be volunteering in Manila for a few months). You may be asked for a bank statement or other proof you can support yourself financially during the trip. The fee for a 6-month multiple entry visa is S$144.50 and may take up to 10 days to process – an estimate will be given when you apply.
More information about all the visa types can be found on the official embassy website and forms can be downloaded here.
The Embassy of the Philippines in Singapore is located at 20 Nassim Road, a short ways from Orchard Road. Visa applications are only accepted Mondays to Thursdays from 09:00 to 12:00 and collection is from 16:00 to 17:00 only.
